Domestic Violence Awareness Event
Every Saturday during the month of May, N2Y2C goes out into the community to spread awareness on the unfortunate connection between domestic violence and homelessness, as well as its negative effects on the children involved. N2Y2C accepts monetary donations during this time, along with laundry detergent, socks, towels, toiletries and other necessities for those in need.
Back to School Event
By setting up a lemonade stand and squeezin’ some community love into every cup, N2Y2C uses this signature event to raise money for backpacks, school supplies and free haircuts for Collin County students before school starts. The lemonade stand gets propped up the First Saturday in July through the first Saturday in August.
Christmas Event
N2Y2C raises money during the months of October through mid-December to provide Christmas gifts for homeless children at the Samaritan Inn in McKinney, TX. The donations go toward the purchase of new coats, sneakers, hats, socks, toys and special events for the children during the day, as well as a special Christmas dinner for their families.
Easter Meals Event
During the months of February (Jaxson’s birthday month!) and March, instead of gifts for himself, Jaxson prefers to focus this time on raising money to provide a hot Easter dinner to residents at the Dallas Life Homeless Shelter.
Previous Easter Meals events have helped over 350 residents and counting!
